Eticidade e Moralidade na tragédia: apontamentos sobre Hegel e F. Schiller

Resumo:

 O objetivo deste artigo é demonstrar que a tragédia guarda fortes relações com conteúdos metafísicos exteriores, o que a torna algo mais relevante do que mera representação teatral. Propomos, neste trabalho, uma aproximação entre a perspectiva de Schiller acerca da arte trágica, tomando-a como elemento de expressão e promoção da moralidade na sociedade política, e a perspectiva de Hegel sobre a tragédia grega. Abordamos, com Hegel, o progresso da tragédia enquanto forma da poesia dramática que expõe, para a antiguidade grega, conteúdos universais (eticidade) e, posteriormente, no mundo moderno, mostramos como a perda destes conteúdos, a perda da eticidade compromete a eficácia da tragédia como representação destes conteúdos. Ao mesmo tempo, procuramos demonstrar que o fracasso da tragédia, que se torna meramente Trauerspiel, i.e., apenas representação teatral, incita, em paralelo, a passagem de uma perspectiva poética da tragédia para uma filosofia do trágico.

Abstract:

The aim of this paper is to show that the tragedy keeps an important affinity with metaphysical and external contents, what renders the tragedy something more relevant than merely theatrical representation. We propose, in this work, an approach between Schiller's point of view concerning the tragic art, as an element of expression and promotion of the morality in the political society, and Hegel's point of view about the Greek tragedy. We work, from Hegel, with the progress of the tragedy, as a form of dramatic poetry, that exposes, for the Greek antiquity, universal contents (ethical contents) and, later, for the modern world, we show how the loss of these contents, the loss of the ethical contents menaces the effectiveness of the tragedy as representation of these contents. At the same time, we tried to demonstrate that the failure of the modern tragedy, which becomes merely Trauerspiel, i.e., just a theatrical representation, incites, in parallel, the passage of a poetic perspective of the tragedy for a philosophy of the tragic.
